Earthtest Energy’s Geologists and Mechanical Engineers provide comfortable warm homes. Managed ventilation with 90% heat recovery is used to halve the heating requirement.
Geothermal heat pumps provide warm water for underfloor heating installed in a thermal screed under the best floor surface, with efficiencies of 500%. In total 80% saving is achieved.
Earthtest Energy provides the total solution.
Escalating energy costs and the increasing concerns of global warming dictate that the alternative sources of energy must be considered by individuals, businesses and government. Geothermal energy is heat from the earth. It is clean, green, environmentally friendly and sustainable. Geothermal heat is naturally occurring heat generated by forces within the earth and which maintains a relatively constant temperature at depths of 15metres beneath the earths surface. This temperature is generally 10°C to 12°C.
Geothermal heat pumps take advantage of this resource to heat buildings. Geothermal heat differs from shallow ground source heating which relies upon heat from the sun and is thus less efficient in winter. Geothermal heat pumps use less energy than conventional heating systems as they draw heat from the ground. They are also more efficient when cooling. For every kilowatt of electrical energy used five or more kilowatts of heat energy are produced.
Geothermal heat is removed from the ground by abstraction of water - open loop - or from an antifreezemix (brine) – closed loop - passed through pipes within boreholes sunk in the ground. The warmth from the ground is captured in the groundwater or brine is extracted by heat pumps.Shallow ground source heating uses pipes or a slinky laid in a shallow trench. Because the ground at shallow depth relies upon solar heating, it is coldest in the winter and spring. The maximum temperature of the brine passing through the pipes duringt hese seasons is therefore restricted and this adversely effects the potential efficiency of the heat pump
Whole house ventilation manages the air flow into and out of a building ensuring a healthy odour-free environment. With heat recovery it can reduce the heating requirements by a half. Underfloor Heating correctly installed within a thermal screen can effectively heat a building using water at 30°C, thus enabling heating systems to operate at peak efficiency.
The system is clean, efficient, environmentally friendly and reduces carbon footprints. As well as saving 70% on heating costs it reduces carbon dioxide by 30% and is an eco friendly method of heating whilst saving the planet.
Earthtest Energy offers the total solution, reducing heating costs with a sustainable heating system that does not damage the environment.
